This is one of the most iconic hikes in Victoria and with Hedonistic Hiking you can do it in style, with an experienced guide and fabulous food and wine.
Where: Bright, High Country
#onehourout
The plan
We depart from Bright at 7.30 am and drive up to Hotham.
The morning hike follows the Razorback Ridge climbing steadily with panoramic views across the Victorian High Country.
A personal guide will entertain you with stories of the history, flora and fauna of the area whilst looking after you on the trail.
After 3.5 to 4 hours we reach Federation Hut set amongst the twisiting snowgums. If time permits there's the opportunity to climb to the summit of Mount Feathertop, Victoria’s second-highest mountain at 1922m.
We have a delicious and nutritious Hedonistic Hiking lunch en route before a long descent to Harrietville where you will be met with a celebratory cold beer, bubbles or soft drink before being returned to your accommodation.
The total distance on foot is 22 km.
We will be back in Bright by 6 pm.
The fruits of your labour
At Hedonistic Hiking we are famous for our hiking picnics. We prepare delicious and nutritious food from the very best local produce to keep you well-fuelled on the hike, and enjoy a glass of wine too.
At the end of the hike you will be met with a celebratory cold beer, bubbles or soft drink to toast the achievements of the day.
We can cater for dietary requirements but must know 48hrs in advance.
