This plastic-free event is designed to assist you in your journey towards an Eco-friendly lifestyle.
Where: Geelong, Geelong-Bellarine
Bindi Carson is the owner-operator of A good place to start. Bindi created this business with the desire to encourage people back to craft by making it accessible and uncomplicated. All the workshops that are run in the space are thoroughly tested to ensure patterns, instructions and materials will combine to create take-home pieces that you will be delighted by.
This workshop is made up of three sessions that will help you to discover and explore eco-friendly ideas. You will begin with homemade deodorant - discussing ingredient options and active ingredients and then making your own. This will then go into the fridge to set and you will then make reusable makeup remover pads using hand sewing techniques. There will be a break to graze on a vegan platter and then the last portion of the workshop will be making your own beeswax wraps using wax, resin, and oil. The sessions are detailed and thorough and you will leave with the knowledge and confidence to continue making your own eco-friendly supplies.
The fruits of your labour
By the end of the class you will have samples of all the product to take home including approximately 90g deodorant, 2 – 3 makeup removal pads and 3 – 4 beeswax wraps (depending on size) and will have enjoyed a delicious vegan grazing plate.
The kit required
All equipment and materials and recipes are provided. You may wish to bring an apron as the wax can be a bit messy and you are welcome to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
