About Andrew Hanson
Andrew Hanson (Hano) is an experienced pizza maker and sourdough baker who loves the process of cooking with flame. He honed his wood-fired oven skills using a self-constructed oven, working in cafes and restaurants, and travelling to Italy where he volunteered in a number of restaurants. He is passionate about using local, organic ingredients where possible and exclusively uses biodynamic, stoneground flour in his pizza bases. His teaching approach is hands-on and practical, ensuring class participants leave with the knowledge and skills required to implement their learning at home.
