Where: Dixons Creek, Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges

The plan

This cooking class is the perfect school-holiday activity – your kids will learn to make footy snacks that are fun to make and yummy to eat, and can be whipped up and enjoyed for any occasion (not just the grand final!).

Neil will be leading the children through this interactive class, assisting them as they make delicious sausage rolls, mini rustic pies and a sweet footy treat too.

The fruits of your labour

You will get to make (and take home) sausage rolls, mini rustic pies and sweet treats. You'll also get the recipe cards so you can replicate the treats later!

The kit required

You won't need anything specific but we suggest you dress comfortably, with closed-toe shoes, as you will be working in a commercial kitchen.
Neil has been working at Yarra Valley Estate since January 2019. Prior to that he has been a chef for the past 16 year at a number of venues in the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges.
Neil is married with two children. In his spare time her likes to brew his own beer, go fishing and enjoys attending to his bonsai plants.

He finds working in the Edible Forest amazing, inspiring and almost overwhelming with what he can do with the variety and abundance of produce the forest delivers each season.
