The expert
Marlene Hoff – otherwise known as the 100 Mile Foodie – is all about keeping it local. She uses only sustainable, ethically made products and food produced or grown within 100 miles of her location. She and her team offer catering, special events, cooking workshops and private dinners out of two locations, South Gippsland and the Mornington Peninsula. Marlene believes people want to know where their food comes from, how it was farmed, and whether it’s seasonal – and she’s happy to help them learn all about it.

The plan
Christmas is a time for giving, and what better time to indulge your family and friends with everyone's favourite – chocolate! In this delicious Christmas chocolate-making workshop, we will make a range of gorgeous gifts that you'll be excited to give to those you love. You'll create these eight chocolate treats, each beautifully wrapped and ready to give away:

• milk chocolate bark with salted pretzels
• white chocolate bark with Turkish delight and pistachio nuts
• chocolate letter
• chocolate-chip cookie lollipop sandwiched together with Nutella
• Italian panforte (one serving)
• chocolate truffles (eight)
• chocolate-chip cookie dough cup
• chocolate spoon with dried edible flowers.

The fruits of your labour
We will begin the class with a cup of the world's best hot chocolate, served with some very special chocolates, just to get you in the mood to create! And after you've worked hard to make your eight chocolate gifts, you'll finish the workshop with another hot chocolate, a chocolate mousse pot, and plenty of take-home recipes. It will be a delicious night!
