This is your "I have a box of apples, and I want to make quaffable booze" workshop! Mike - owner/founder of Crucible cider - will take you through the process from start to finish, and you will get to taste his own wares! We hosted this workshop a few years back and the quote that stuck with me, as Mike held up an apple "everything you need for to make cider is right here"! Beautiful simplicity.
Where: Geelong, Geelong-Bellarine
What is the plan? You rock up, we'll serve you a delicious filter coffee then we'll get to work tasting apples, crushing apples, drinking various fermented apples; including Mikes own!
Mike, the facilitator, has two loves - his beautiful Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm, which he runs with his wife Katrine and cider. Mike is the owner and founder of highly respected Crucible Cider.
You will leave with the skills and confidence to get cracking with your own brew. And Mike also has the good info on what gear you will need for getting started at home!
The fruits of your labour
Apples and, of course, cider! We'll wrap up with a plowmans lunch including the tastiest foccacia, straight out of the oven to soak up some of that cider!
The kit required
A good idea to avoid your finest outfit, other than that, you need only bring a bit if strength to work the apple press!
Please Note: No cancellations for this experience are allowed, however, we are happy for you to send a friend in your place.
We forage, gather and grow. We create beautiful food using old and modern practices. We choose a small menu that changes with our regions gardens and farms.
