Come be creative at Hazy Tales Studio and learn how to make ceramic flowers. These look stunning in a vase and last forever. This class will be a mixture of fun and creativity in a stylish venue with great tunes!

Where: Drysdale, Geelong-Bellarine

The plan

Our craft and pottery social evenings are all about fun and creativity. Impress your friends when they come to visit with these three ceramic flowers. You can make them totally unique and even add your own name or a friend's name to give them as a gift.

Not only is this class fun but you will also experience mindfulness, which will let you access your creative self and help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

These classes are held in our studio, which is a stylish light-filled venue, with floor to ceiling windows and polished concrete floors. On arrival, there will be a complimentary drink – your choice of herbal tea, wine or beer, or spirits with a mixer. BYO for additional drinks.

You will be shown lots of examples and draw your design then shown different techniques to make your three ceramic flowers.

Time: We've allowed 2 hours, but you may stay longer to finish your work. But you may also finish it in less than 2 hours if you're working quickly, so you are free to stay and have a drink and chat.

The fruits of your labour

There will be a complimentary drink on arrival and BYO for additional drinks.

Your three ceramic flowers will be dried out for at least a week and bisque fired in the kiln. The next step is to have a clear glaze added and be kiln fired a further time. I will then adhere metal poles to your flowers and they will be ready to collect within approximately 8 weeks.

The kit required

You may bring an apron, but everything washes out so no need to.
Hi, I’m Sally Hobson- the proprietor of Hazy Tales Pottery Studio located in Drysdale on the Bellarine Peninsula.
I studied photography at Derby University in England and have worked in marketing, in a photography studio and run my own wedding and portrait business. I have always been invested in art and creating. Since moving to Australia 6 years ago, I have found a passion for ceramics and jewellery making. It’s a creative exploration being able to make and sell my own products.

The studio is also a great space for hosting events including kids holiday/term time workshops and social evenings for adults where there is a fab mixture of fun & creativeness!

‘Hazy Tales’ Studio also hosts custom ceramic birthday parties with exclusive access. Handcraft amazing keepsakes with friends for a memorable day with a unique blend.

It is a stylish light filled venue, with floor to ceiling windows & polished concrete floors. We are tucked away in Drysdale on the Bellarine Peninsula, a short 20 minute drive from Geelong.
