Your clay creation from this class will be centre stage and the talking point at your next gathering! So cute and contemporary, these will look great on your table and give you a little smile every day.
Craft and pottery social evenings are held at our Hazy Tales Studio in Drysdale, which is a stylish light-filled venue, with floor to ceiling windows and polished concrete floors.
On arrival, you can enjoy a complimentary drink – your choice of wine, beer spirits (with a mixer) or a cup of herbal tea. You can also BYO additional drinks.
Next, we will show you the technique to make your sculpture. There is then the option to use slip to decorate your creation with blocks of colour, pattern and design.
We allow roughly 2 hours to make these but you can stay longer to finish your work, some people stay for up to 3 hours. But you might also finish it in less than 2 hours if you're working quickly, so you're free to stay and have a drink and chat.
Your pieces will then be dried out for at least 2 weeks and bisque fired in the kiln. After that, a clear glaze will be added and it will be kiln fired a final time.
They will then be ready to collect within approximately 6 weeks.

Hi, I’m Sally Hobson – the proprietor of Hazy Tales Pottery Studio located in Drysdale on the Bellarine Peninsula.
I studied photography at Derby University in England and have worked in marketing, in a photography studio and run my own wedding and portrait business. I have always been invested in art and creating. Since moving to Australia 6 years ago, I have found a passion for ceramics and jewellery making. It’s a creative exploration being able to make and sell my own products.
The studio is also a great space for hosting events including kids' holiday/term time workshops and social evenings for adults where there is a fab mixture of fun & creativeness!
