You'll sit at a traditional jeweller’s bench and learn to use a range of tools including a jewellers saw, files and soldering torch. You will also learn techniques including doming, texturing, polishing and finishing. We finish the class making shepherds hooks, earring posts or a bail, and then learn to solder them.

The fruits of your labour

At the end of this fun class, you’ll take home your beautiful handmade sterling silver earrings. We'll enjoy a gourmet morning tea as well as tea/coffee during the workshop.

The kit required

All tools, equipment and materials – including sterling silver – are provided, but you will need to bring a bring a pen and paper so you can make notes, and an apron to protect your clothing. For safety reasons, please wear closed-toe shoes and natural fibres, if you can. Long hair should be tied back. Bring reading glasses if you normally wear them.
