Learn about the art of Japanese flower arrangement with a qualified Sogetsu Ikebana teacher. Make beautiful arrangements in a private studio, on the Mornington Peninsula.

The plan

You will learn a little about the history of ikebana and Japanese culture. With guidance from Shoto, each participant will make two beautiful arrangements to take home. No experience is necessary and all equipment is supplied. A light morning or afternoon tea will be provided.

Practising Ikebana under her official Japanese teaching name, Shoto, Aileen is a qualified Sogetsu Ikebana teacher with a background in teaching art and information technologies.
In 2018, she won the international online Ikebana Gallery Award in both Overall and People's Choice categories. In 2016, Shoto's essay 'Ikebana: Respecting the Past, Expressing the Future' was published in the International Journal of Ikebana Studies.
