Looking for a unique, fun, hands-on learning experience to entertain your kids in the school holidays? Why not book them into the Edible Forest Sustainable Craft Workshop?
Where: Dixons Creek, Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges
It's great to begin teaching our kids about sustainable craft at a young age. In this class, Dale, our experienced educator, will lead your children through this hands-on, sensory class, teaching kids to make three crafty items to take home.
First off, they'll learn to fill and sew their own wheat bag. After that, they'll use their sense of smell to make their own personal blend of uplifting room spray using essential oils. The class will finish with a quick exploration of the Edible Forest where they will search for ingredients to fill a bathtub ‘tea bag’ – which they can then soak in at home.
The skills they learn and activities completed are easy to replicate continue at home, allowing them to make great sustainable gifts for family and friends.
Time: 1.5 hours Level: Basic - suitable for children aged 6 and over
